Walkin' At The Zoo With Jonah
For the past several months I've been wanting to take Jonah to the zoo but for whatever reason it never happened. Today we fixed that! Jonah, now 10 months old was more interested in the other zoogoers rather then the animals, but I have a feeling the more we come back here that will change. The zoo has an under 2 is free policy which makes me think that you kind of need to be 2 to really appreciate things. Really though that doesn't matter because he still had an absolute blast, as did I!
The North Carolina Zoo is considered the largest "natural habitat" zoo in the world. This classification means the zoo is designed so that its animals live in conditions mimicking their natural habitats as closely as possible.
The North Carolina Zoo is located on a 2,600-acre property, of which approximately 500 acres are developed as part of the zoo.
The North Carolina Zoo housed more than 1,800 animals from more than 250 species, which primarily include animals from North America and Africa.
