[2.11] Seance - Diffuse
So I've been trying to perfect my video format for my unrated level reviews. Let me know if you like the clicks being added (as well as a bit of using my voice) Anyways, as I said in the video, very cool effect level by Diffuse! A creator who I think deserves WAY more attention. This has been unrated for way too long and should have been rated a while ago. With that said, its review time! :)
Gameplay: The gameplay is consistent for the difficulty, although there are some things I would change. For example, the orbs at 1:06 are based on timing, which is something I don't advise unless the level is intended to be insane or demon. It isn't a huge deal but can make some players frustrated for the difficulty. I also would suggest tweaking the green orb at 1:09, as it does not line up well with the player, which is a bit awkward considering all of the gameplay besides those few points are nicely lined up, making for smooth gameplay.
Decoration: I love the fact that this isn't your every day modernistic/effect styled level. Diffuse went outside of the box with this for sure. I love pretty much all the effects in this one. The effect starting at 0:31 has to be my favorite! I can't really wrap my head around how it was done, which I think all effect levels should have one part that does that. I also love the unconventional color mixing that you see throughout the entire level! From pink/green, blue/orange, to teal/pink and yellow, Diffuse managed to execute them all very well. Nicely done! :) I can't seem to find any flaw with the decorations, and I don't say that often!
Overall, Diffuse did a very good job of making a stunning effect level, with perfect decorations and color-mixing! Very much worthy of an epic rating. You guys should definitely check out this level, as it deserves a lot more attention. :)
