In this video we take a look at exhaust pulse tuning after a brief introduction to the intake and exhaust cycle - We move on to an example of how you can model an exhaust in 3D CAD at a concept level, then we bring it back to a whiteboard to go over some basics in fluid dynamics that affect the back pressure which is critical for exhaust flow and pulse tuning.
Lastly I start to build a calculator that will show how we can estimate the required primary length for pulse tuning. When this series is complete, a full calculator will be made available.
I also hope you like the random montages from the Osaka motorcycle show
This videos format is a bit mixed-up and longer than normal, so I'd appreciate any feedback on what you do or don't like so I can bear it in mind for future videos.
I also just want to say that I always really appreciate the comments and will do my best to answer any questions or create any videos by request.
As always, I hope that you can take something useful away from this video, whether it is from the steps used to create the model or from my ramblings.
