In the 2021 Monza Grand Prix, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton collided while battling for position, resulting in both drivers retiring from the race.
Hamilton had pitted from the lead and returned to the track just in front of Verstappen.
Hamilton narrowly gained track position, but squeezed Verstappen on the outside. Verstappen then tried to pass on the inside at Turn 2 of Monza's chicane.
Thankfully, both drivers walked away unharmed.
Max Verstappen has been handed a 3-place grid penalty for causing the collision at Monza Grand Prix.
