DANIEL SMITH Watercolor Ground
A foundation of Watercolor Ground gives virtually any surface a new texture similar to cold-press watercolor paper. You can achieve the same distinctive, transparent qualities of watercolor on wood, metal, ceramic, plastic, glass, stone, plaster and more.
This archival-quality ground can also be used to add texture or cover flaws and comes in six colors: Titanium White, Buff Titanium, Mars Black, Iridescent Gold, Pearlescent White and Transparent.
One 16oz jar can cover approximately 83 square feet when applied with 1 mil thickness; 27 square feet with 3 mils; 14 square feet with 6 mils (applies to Titanium White, Buff Titanium and Mars Black).
Preparation: Absorbent or semi-absorbent surfaces require no special prep before brushing on DANIEL SMITH Watercolor Ground. These include paper, canvas and other fabrics, wood, plaster, shells and hardboard. Non-absorbent surfaces such as metal, plastic or glass should be lightly abraded with sandpaper or steel wool before brushing on the Watercolor Ground
Curing: to allow watercolor ground to attain the correct degree of absorption, let watercolor ground dry and cure for at least 24 hours
