Tassels are a very simple decorative element to make, which we can apply to our sewing projects, but also to our paper crafts, such as decorating our Chinese lanterns, origami boxes, or paper fans.
{ MATERIALS }
1. 1 skein of embroidery floss (https://amzn.to/2G1wOBC)
2. Scissors (https://amzn.to/2I4VJdG)
{ INSTRUCTIONS }
1. Separate the skein in two. We will make a tassel from each half.
2. Take two pieces of floss from each half, which will be used to tie the tassel.
3. Take one of the groups of floss and fold it in half. Then cut along the fold.
4. Fold it in half again. Insert one of the reserved threads through the fold and tie two knots.
5. With the other thread, tie the top of the group of threads, creating a small head, and tie a knot. Tie another knot on the other side, and then another to secure it well. Leave the excess ends hanging down.
6. With scissors, trim the ends of the tassel for a neat finish.
