How To View And Save Old Instagram Stories
In this quick tech video, I’m going to show you where to go inside of Instagram to find old, archived story posts, and then how to download them to our photos app.
To get started, open Instagram, and tap the profile icon on the bottom right.
Next, tap the three-line menu on the top right, and then choose archive.
Here you will find all of your archived stories. By selecting the Stories Archive at the top, you can also get a drop-down to select Posts Archive or Live Archives if you’ve archived any of those.
Staying on Stories, choose the story you want to view.
You can then choose from the options below if you want to share the post, add it to a highlight section, or selecting more to get more options. Inside of more, you’ll see Save Photo or Video, depending on the post.
Choose that and it will download your story. In this case, I’m on an iPhone, so it will download to my Photos app.
Close Instagram and open Photos. You will then see the saved post as the most recent photo.
And that’s how you view and download old Instagram stories to your phone.
