Workshop Finding references in Publish or perish and moving them to Mendeley
Mendeley is a reference management application useful for creating scientific papers, such as for students completing their theses and dissertations; for lecturers writing journal articles, and so on. Users can cite references in detail (author name, title, title name, etc.) into Mendeley. Mendeley can also be used as a quick reference search engine based on specific search keywords. Note that each reference must have been previously added to the user's Mendeley. If not, searches can be done online, provided there is an internet connection on the computer. We can also create a Bibliography automatically based on various formats, such as APA, Harvard, IEEE, and others, and can automatically cite when writing scientific papers in Microsoft Word. We can combine using the publish and perish application with Mendeley. This PoP application can retrieve metadata from journal databases such as Scopus and Google Scholar. Then, we can import metadata into Mendeley, making it very useful for finding relevant research references.
