This video covers a useful technique giving an overview of how you can use a Virtual Instrument to add ambience to your electric violin recordings. Reaper is a DAW (Sequencer) which is ideal to achieve this. Also, the full version of Ableton Live can achieve the same outcome.
However, in this video I use Reaper.
I am aware that this is not the most popular type of video that I make, but I felt it was worth sharing for anyone who is interested in going down this route. Please allow me my little indulgences from time to time and it may just prove useful for someone who has wondered how to do something like this. This video may just give one or two pointers and may in a very small way influence anyone who is interested recording Ambient Celtic Violin.
I'm only just scratching the surface with Vocalise as I've only had it a day, so it will be interesting to see where I can go with this virtual instrument. Thank you for your generous assistance in helping me to purchase this instrument.
If this video gets some interest I will attempt to make another instructional video giving very clear directions on what to do, so this is just a pilot in that respect.
