In order to Duet a video, the original account must have Duets enabled.
To control who can make duet on your videos, open tiktok app and go to profile and from the three horizontal lines above, select privacy and scroll down to reach duet.
Now you can regulate this process by allowing the public or your friends to duet on your videos or stop it at all.
Now let’s figure out how to duet on the videos,
Open tiktok app, navigate to reach any video you want to duet with, click on share, this arrow pointed to right, and now click on duet.
As you can see, the original video is on the right while yours on the lift.
Before make your duet, you can adjust the settings from the tools shown on the screen.
This is to change camera front or back, to speed up or slow down the original video select speed, the lower number the slower, you can add some filters to your video from filters, the next icon is for setting a timer.
You can set the layout of your video and the original one from layout, select among these four choices what is suitable for you.
Mic icon to turn on or off your microphone to be able to record your voice and to turn on or off the flash while recording click on flash, finally, choose effect to add fitters to your video.
Now, you are ready to create your own duet by tapping on the red button, you can make stops, to readjust settings, if there is sth wrong, you can delete that part, when you finish click on the red check mark.
Once again you can make some edits here, by adding filters, voice effects, recording your voice and control the sounds by increasing or decreasing the sound of the two videos.
From the tools listed below, you can add other filters or type a text and formatting it, and final one to add stickers. After that, click on the red arrow, to move to the final page.
Now you can choose a cover to your duet, and you can promote your video by adding some hashtags or notify your friend by tagging them.
Select here who will see your duet, friends or public or make it private, these are to allow people to comment, duet, stitch and save your duet.
To share it with other social media, click here, you can save it as drafts or post it. When you post the duet, the owner of the original video will be notified of your duet.
