Find Tech Knowladge Easy To Way

As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, you can configure your G Suite (now known as Google Workspace) account in Microsoft Outlook while adhering to the necessary security settings. Please note that the exact steps might have changed since then, so I recommend referring to the most recent documentation provided by both Google and Microsoft. Here's a general guide to help you get started:

Enable Less Secure Apps (Optional, but not recommended for security reasons):
By default, Google blocks less secure apps from accessing your Google Account. While it's not recommended due to security concerns, you can enable this setting if needed.

Sign in to your Google Workspace account.
Go to the "Less secure apps" settings: https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecu...
Turn on "Allow less secure apps."
Generate an App Password (Recommended):
To improve security, Google recommends using an App Password when setting up email in Outlook.

Sign in to your Google Workspace account.
Go to the "App passwords" settings: https://myaccount.google.com/apppassw...
Select "Mail" and "Outlook" (or "Other (Custom name)") from the dropdown menus.
Click "Generate."
A password will be displayed. Note it down.
Add Your Google Workspace Account to Outlook:

Open Microsoft Outlook.
Click on "File" and then "Add Account."
Enter your email address and click "Connect."
Choose "Advanced options" and check the box for "Let me set up my account manually."
Select "Connect" again.
Choose "IMAP" or "POP" (IMAP is recommended for synchronizing emails across devices).
Use the following settings:
Incoming mail server: imap.gmail.com (or pop.gmail.com for POP)
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com
Your full email address and the App Password you generated earlier.
Click "Connect."
Configure Server and Port Settings:

Choose "Advanced settings" if prompted.
Set the incoming server (IMAP) port to 993 (SSL/TLS).
Set the outgoing server (SMTP) port to 465 or 587 (SSL/TLS).
Test the Configuration:

Outlook will test the connection and settings. If everything is configured correctly, your Google Workspace emails should start appearing in Outlook.
Remember that Google's security settings may evolve over time, and it's essential to stay updated with their latest recommendations for integrating Google Workspace with third-party applications like Outlook. Always prioritize security when configuring such connections. If there have been significant changes since September 2021, refer to Google's official documentation or Microsoft's support for the most current instructions.
