Introducing Chocolate - The World's First Wii U GamePad Adapter for PC
Chocolate is a small USB dongle that connects your Wii U GamePad to your computer wirelessly. Easily pair and stream your screen to the GamePad and use its buttons, sticks, touchscreen, motion sensors, microphone, camera and more with compatible apps. Q: When do Wave 1 Chocolate preorders ship?
A: Fall of 2026 is the target. I appreciate all who ordered. If I can get them shipped sooner I certainly will, but Fall is the goal.
Q: Why $59.00? Didnt you target $30-$40?
A: Yes, but there are a lot of upfront costs that I did not consider when it comes to building and making each of these by hand.
Q: Open source? You promised!
A: Yes, and I'm keeping that promise. When Wave 1 ships, the Chocolate app, its first SDK, and the source for all will be for download on my website.
Q: I have an issue with the pre-order or didn't receive receipt.
A: Unfortunately, as I am new to this, I must not have clicked the box for emailng reciepts, but have bulk sent out email receipts to those who ordered in Wave 1. If you didn't recieve one, let me know ([email protected]) and I will assist you.
Q: Wave 2, 3 when? What about countries outside the US?
A: I felt the most comfortable as a startup indie business shipping within the US for starters. I'll gauge how I feel after that after dilligent research on how to best approach international shipping. I want everyone to be able to enjoy Chocolate and the Wii U GamePad so this is something I care about getting right.
For waves past 1, once wave 1 finishes, I will begin looking at other waves as soon as I can.
