The Unbeatable Rival
The cardinals around here have been particularly... enthusiastic this year. While I have seen cardinals and other birds occasionally go after their reflections, thinking they're rivals, I've never had ones so... persistent.
At first they went after their reflections on my car windows until there was blood spatters here and there. A couple of hawk silhouettes minimized this.
But now it seems that they have gone after my bedroom window. I tried to ignore it the first few days, but it's rapping on my window earlier and earlier in the day. Hopefully a hawk silhouette will deter it too.
