Led Blimpie Communication Breakdown

Way back in 2004, after Sunburn disbanded and I learned a bit of how to record audio, I had my first 'necessary' return to New York City. This time, with a wife, a child, my few remaining guitars and a couple other boxes representing everything I owned. It was then I embarked on a career in television.
Yet the urge to make rock could not be silenced. My life-long friend Thor explained he was intent on creating a Zeppelin cover band to play out in New York. I insisted he let me sing for the band. He was writing song lists and designing his band-concept. He called it Led Blimpie. Led as in Zeppelin, and Blimpie as in the NYC sandwich chain that preceded Subway. He might not admit it, but it was my idea to create the now iconic image of the Swan Song character holding aloft a massive hot tuna sub.
Somehow I convinced Thor that I should sing for this band, as its namesake made little requirement for my likeness to be that of Robert Plant. Nor did it require that I be svelte - in fact, the fatter the better! We did some auditions at a midtown rent-a-studio and soon after we had a band.
After a few initial iterations, we obtained the brain-trust of Paris' best rhythm section ever exported. Then we acquired a brilliant keyboardist who enabled us to cover Zeppelin completely.
After many successful gigs, I suggested recording some tunes for old times sake. I had learned to produce music, I figured I should continue doing that. So here is the first installment of my musical journey of 2004-2009, Led Blimpie:
