Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes - Virtual Art Department - UE scene - Raka's Temple/T5
This is a quick fly-through video of the Unreal Engine scene of Raka’s Temple, developed by the Virtual Art Department team for the film Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes by Wes Ball. In this scene, Noa meets Raka after falling through the glass roof dome of the overgrown T5 terminal at LAX, which Raka is using as a place of knowledge and to perform a cremation ritual.
These scenes were used for design development and evaluation in VR, pre-visualization (Pre-vis), and camera blocking. They served as virtual sets on the motion capture stage and as references for VFX in post-visualization (Post-vis).
