This quick tip shows you how to add a vignette to draw the viewer’s attention to a region of your animation in Adobe After Effects CC 2023.

How To Create a Vignette in After Effects CC 2023:
1. Open Comp
2. Create a New Solid Layer (make Comp Size)
3. Select a dark color for the vignette
4. Select Solid Layer
5. Go to Shape Tool
6. Select Ellipse
7. Double-Click Ellipse to make an ellipse that fills Comp
8. Go to Layers Panel
9. Tick the box for ‘Inverted’
10. Tap F for Feather
11. Increase Feather to soften edges of vignette
12. Tap T to Lower Opacity (optional)
13. Tap S to Increase Scale of Vignette (optional)
