We understand accessibility is vital to ensure the learning outcomes of all students but can often add to teacher workload or take their focus from doing what they do best – teaching! To alleviate your teachers and support staff and ensure they can best support pupils with accessibility needs –
whatever the setting – we’ve devised this handy webinar on how to get the most out of your iPads.
In this session, you’ll learn about an array of Apple features from connecting devices such as hearing aids to activating sound recognition, ensuring users see vital alerts such as fire alarms on their screens. Not sure how to use the spoken content feature to read onscreen text, or how to activate voice control? We’ll cover them too!
You’ll also have the opportunity to hear from Mike Warner, Continuing Professional Development lead and a SEND teacher at Romans Field School in Milton Keynes, and how Apple’s accessibility features have helped them. Our own professional development consultant, Richard Poth, will be hosting the event. Richard has an extensive teaching background spanning 16 years and holds Apple’s highest training qualification – Apple Professional Learning Specialist.
