In this example, I demonstrated how to resize and save images for print in Adobe Photoshop and re-link the images in Adobe InDesign. Here are the basic steps:
Adobe Photoshop:
0:35 Open image
0:48 Adjust image size
1:23 Convert image to CMYK color mode
1:44 Save image, change mode from Format dropdown menu
2:07 Save all images according to the above steps
Adobe InDesign:
4:24 Place images in a new InDesign file
4:48 Links panel menu: Relink to Folder (update images by batch)
5:49 Links panel menu: Relink (update images individually)
Best practice tip: when resaving images to a new format, try to keep the filenames exactly the same so you can use the “Relink to Folder” feature and save time!
