This brown gold acrylic pour painting was done with the floating cup technique. For the color palette, I choose three different earth tone colors along with gold and black. I always try to have a range of values in my colors. I typically use a very light color, a very dark color, and two or three mid-value colors.

This painting has a very earthy feel and I love the black lacing in the bottom right. Overall I like the color palette and am happy with this one. You can find all the colors and pouring formula I used below.

Paint Mixing Formula…..........................

3 parts Floetrol
3 parts paint
1-2 parts water to reach desired consistency

I like the consistency of my paints to form the slightest mound when running off the stir stick into the cup of paint.
