There might be a planet hiding in our own Solar System right now. Not a tiny frozen rock. A world roughly four to ten times the mass of Earth, orbiting so far from the Sun that light itself needs days to reach it. For nearly a decade, astronomers have hunted for this object using the most powerful telescopes ever built. In 2025, researchers announced the most promising candidate detections yet - faint infrared traces buried in decades-old space telescope data. And still, nobody can confirm whether Planet Nine is real.

This calming long-form space documentary explores the full story - from the gravitational fingerprints that first hinted at a hidden planet, to the brutal physics of why the outer Solar System is almost impossible to search, to the recent candidate discoveries that have reignited the debate. We cover the original 2016 hypothesis by Batygin and Brown, the refined 2025 orbital predictions, the IRAS and AKARI infrared candidate detections, the discovery of the mysterious sednoid "Ammonite" that complicated everything, the primordial black hole alternative, and why the Vera C. Rubin Observatory may finally answer the question within the next decade.

This is not a simple "does it exist?" video. This is the story of why finding a planet in your own Solar System can be harder than photographing a galaxy ten billion light years away.
