The Haunted Trail: The war of the Dublin Woods

The Haunted Trail: The war of the Dublin Woods

This powerful sequel of The Haunted Trail takes place right after the first instalment ends. The action picks up as Mick Patrican is injured in the forest, and crazed lunatics
are on a death hunt for him. Mick managed to fight back against these curses of the
forest, and in turn, he found out the true dangers of these curses. After being completely
lied to and screwed over by a deranged clown named Herman McRandle who
convinces Mick that a waterfall upriver will lead him to a safe passage, Mick decides to
take McRandle’s advice and follow this passage out of the Dublin Woods, and when he
does, he learns that this passage leads to a dangerous waterfall in the forest. Mick sails
down the river in a small wooden boat that he stole from a fisherman who was killed in
the forest five minutes earlier. Although Mick lives only about a mile away from this
treacherous waterfall, he is completely unaware of its dangers because he had never
ventured into this dark part of the forest until tonight. He finally realizes why his mother
told him and his brothers not to trespass in this part of the forest, and he finally realizes
the true dangers of this part of the forest.
When General Butch McPherson sees the survival skills of young Mick Patrican,
he also starts to see something from his past. He sees that this young man was related
to his old colleague and business partner from his past life; two thousand years prior.
The Ghost of General Butch McPherson sees that the young and resourceful Irishman
Mick Patrican was related to a distant relative named David Patrician. From generations
prior, The Ghost of General Butch McPherson can recall his complex friendship with his
former business partner, David. The Ghost of General Butch McPherson remembers
how resilient David was at war, and at helping him and a few others with constructing a
cave system battleground that was built to protect their green land against enemies.
Their friendship was complex because Butch screwed his best friend David out of funds
that were promised to be paid to him, only to have a hidden agenda to protect a rare
four-leaf clover, and the green land of Ireland from invaders. David thought that Butch
was a little overcautious about this war strategy, but he decided to go along with Butch’s
insane plan to build a war cave until he learns that Butch was right about Ireland’s green
land being invaded by enemies. David was extremely heated about Butch not covering
the funds that Butch promised to him after this war cave was fully constructed. But when
David actually sees a war occurring before his eyes when Egyptian invaders raid their
home country, he begins to forget about McPherson’s false promise of paying him his
funds after the completion of the war cave.
When a second four-leaf clover presents a curse to this green land, all hell
breaks loose, and readers will learn the sacrifices that both these men had to make to
protect the forest from curses that were destined to contaminate the Irish land. Find out
what happens from here as General McPherson becomes a true ghost to Mick Patrican
after he gives Mick vital information of the curses of the Dublin Woods and then literally
disappears from Mick’s sights and sounds forever. What will Mick Patrican be able to do
with McPherson’s information about this cursed land? Will he have enough strength to
reverse this awful curse before the clock strikes midnight? Or will he not have enough
strength to fight against the madmen in the forest and wither and die out there? And
Mick must also be extremely cautious of the corrupt law officials who don’t fully
understand Mick’s end game of trying to rid these curses in the Dublin Woods forever.
It’s a good thing for Mick that some of these law officials aren’t as corrupt as the others.
This could just be the only thing in his favor as he faces a cursed forest on the brink of
death. What kind of an Irish fight does Mick Patrican have in him before the clock strikes
midnight in Dublin, Ireland, 1892, on this hellish Halloween evening?
