Zoom G1on + Fl Studio Mobile Lead Guitar Patch
Here's my current multi-effects patch parameters. With isolated guitar track playing in the background..
Disclaimer: I am using a crappy $50 strat replica, digital effect unit and a portable audio recorder. This may or not sound as good as using an expensive instrument, analog stompboxes and capturing the guitar sound by placing a mic in front of an amp.
From guitar to Zoom G1on with the following effects:
Znr - even though I use humbucking pickups, having this will ultimately remove unwanted noises since I am surrounded by a bunch of EMF generating devices.
160 Compressor - as a lead guitarist, this is an essential tool especially when I play fast runs and do some tapping licks by minimizing peak signals within the certain threshold, relative to my weak and average attacks, resulting to an even overall output level. I'd just turn it off whenever I need to play dynamically.
T-scream - an overdrive pedal emulation to push my amp sim into a tube breakup so I can set the gain on my main distortion lower. It also boosts my mid frequency so my guitar tone will cut thru the mix.
Alien - an amp/cab sim based on Engl Invader and also serves as my main distortion.
Chorus - as my modulation pedal emulation.
From Zoom G1on to my portable sound recorder.
The Zoom G1on can only handle a maximum of 5 effects simultaneously (even lower when you have reached the maximum memory the device can hande). Eq, filters and time based effects are applied in FL Studio Mobile.
But I can only add other effects on post-processing stage (after I record). But it does'nt matter because I love to record my guitar parts almost DRY without time and space effects. It helps me (or forces me to) avoid sloppiness in my guitar playing. That method serves me really well over the years of recording at home.
The guitar is extremely sensitive to string noises because of microphonic pickup, wired into a blower mod, which sends my bridge pickup signal directly into the output jack, ignoring the volume and tone pot.
