What is entropy?
Entropy is one of the most complicated and misunderstood concepts in physics. The second law of thermodynamics states that the entropy of an isolated system (or the universe) never decreases. But many are unsure of its meaning, and we often hear examples of processes that seem to go in the opposite direction. So let's try to understand how things stand.
