Xiaomi BE7000: full review and setup — Wi-Fi 7, USB, Docker and Mesh
The almost-flagship Xiaomi BE7000 is your “entry ticket” to Wi-Fi 7, focused on wired performance and a rock-solid 5-gigahertz band. In the video I show fast setup via Mi Home and the web interface, compare range and stability with BE6500, run real iperf3 tests over Ethernet and Wi-Fi, check USB-NAS (Samba/SMB) and copy speeds, and build a Mesh network (wired and wireless). Bonus feature of this model: Docker on the router (swap, SimpleDocker, example services). The China version has no 6-gigahertz band, but offers two independent 5-gigahertz radios, which helps pick cleaner Wi-Fi channels.
In this video we’ll cover:
Connection and basic setup: combined 2.4 + 5 gigahertz Wi-Fi network, guest Wi-Fi, NFC one-tap join.
Advanced options: 160 megahertz, MU-MIMO, Wi-Fi 5 compatibility mode, QoS, DDNS, VPN, port forwarding/DMZ, Dual WAN, LAN link aggregation.
