It's rare to see a Caribbean 28 come on the market nowadays but even harder to find one in the condition of Westerly. This one owner vessel is possibly the youngest in Western Australia. Being optioned with the preferred larger Yanmar 230HP diesel shaft drives, you can guarantee she will also be one of the more economical.
Of course the Caribbean Bertram brand is synonymous with not only great sea keeping ability but also the largest rear deck of their kind - a massive 85 square feet on the 28. Combine this with a beam of 11FT and an overall length closer to 32FT, she is considerably understated in size.
It was a joy to get behind the helm for the recent photo shoot. No shortage of power. I can picture a keen fisherman scooting out the continental shelf to troll for marlin. Similarly I can image a family or bunch of friends swinging at anchor in the turquoise waters of Parker Point on a hot summers day.
Hot showers, cooking facilities, separate toilet stall and accommodation for adults and kids make her entirely suitable for a few days away.
Her rear deck is substantially covered to keep you out of the sun and also incorporates camper covers offering protection if you have additional guests and need to throw a swag on the deck.
