Stoer Lighthouse & Old Man of Stoer.
While up doing some whale spotting couldn't resist a quick fly around the lighthouse. I had to be careful as one of the whale spotters' dogs wasn't keen on the drone so stayed away from one side nearest the dog.
You can stay in the lighthouse, we will be trying to book it, on the next trip up north.
The lighthouse was built on Stoer Head by David and Thomas Stevenson in 1870. It was one of the 45 sites in Scotland where a lighthouse was needed to protect shipping. It is 45 feet high And can be seen from 24 miles out at sea. The beacon flashes every fifteen seconds.
