Today we're going over a really useful feature. How to crop a video.
Cropping is perfect when you want to get rid of unwanted edges, highlight a specific area, or make your video fit better in a layout.
Let's walk through it.
Step 1: Drag and drop your video into the Canva Page.
Step 2: Click on the video to select it.
Step 3: Once it's selected, click the crop button in the top editing options.
Step 4: On the left, you'll see preset aspect ratios. Choose one as needed.
Step 5: Alternatively, choose freeform for manual adjustment.
Step 6: Click and drag the dots in the image corners to scale.
Step 7: Click and drag the crop handles to Crop it.
Step 8: Reposition the video inside the crop frame by clicking and dragging it.
Step 9: You can also rotate it.
Step 10: When you're happy with how it looks, click done.
And that's it. Your video is now cropped and fits perfectly within your design.
It's a quick and easy way to clean up your visuals or emphasize a specific detail.
