You will hear extended versions of these basic chords on the track... as is common in jazz of course :)
In theory, you can play Eb major scale over all the chords, except the C7 where you'd switch to F harmonic minor.
Scales:
Eb Major - Eb F G Ab Bb C D
F Harmonic Minor - F G Ab Bb C Db E
Arpeggios:
Eb arpeggio = Eb G Bb
C7 arpeggio = C E G Bb
Fm7 arpeggio = F Ab C Eb
Bb7 arpeggio = Bb D F Ab
Playing Eb Major scale will result in Eb Ionian (Eb chords), F Dorian (Fm7 chords) and Bb Mixolydian (Bb7 chords) - all the same 7 notes...
NOTE: It's only a two note difference between Eb major scale and F harmonic minor scale - as the Eb becomes E and the D becomes Db - the rest of the 7 notes stay the same.... easy!!
Next up, I'd recommend trying out some more advanced colours on the dominant chord (Bb7/Bb13) by using the
Bb diminished 1/2-1 tone scale = Bb B C# D E F G Ab
And you can also try out the Altered Scale (Superlocrian) on C7!
