Some bug fixes or enhancements may require an update to the SQL query in the BI Catalog. In such scenarios, the Simplified Loader support team provides the updated SQL via the support portal. This video guide outlines the process for uploading the updated SQL to the BI area.
The slide summarizes the steps to be performed by the BI Administrator.
Begin by opening Oracle BI and navigating to the custom folder, followed by SL_Templates. Within the SL_Templates directory, locate the subfolder associated with the SQL update. For example, select the folder for AP Invoices. To create a backup of the folder, click on More, then choose Copy. Paste the folder in the same location. Rename the copied folder by prefixing it with "X Archive" followed by the current date. This creates a backup of the existing version.
Next, open the folder specific to the template. Edit the Data Model referenced in the support portal. Select the Data Set specified in the support instructions and click Edit. Update the SQL as per the details provided by the support team. Once the changes are made, click OK to close the Edit Data Set window, then click Save to apply the SQL changes to the Data Model.
The SQL is now updated, and the changes will reflect immediately in the Excel template.
