AutoLISP Section Marking in AutoCAD made easy with automatic section blocks and symbols. This tutorial uses AutoCAD section blocks and Section_Mark FAS to speed up your section drawing workflow.
Want to mark section blocks in seconds instead of minutes? This tiny AutoLISP tool will place section numbers and turning symbols automatically — with just a few clicks.
First, load the LISP with the appload command and browse to Section_Mark.FAS. For straight section lines, use MSS: type MSS, pick the two endpoints of your section line, and enter the section name or number. The program instantly places section blocks at both ends — horizontal, vertical, or inclined.
For section lines with angles or bends, use MOS: type MOS, select the block insertion point, pick all intermediate turning points, and then the last point. Enter the section number, and the LISP will place section blocks and turning symbols at every bend automatically.
So remember: appload to load Section_Mark.FAS, MSS for straight lines, and MOS for angled or turning lines.
You can download Section_Mark.FAS from the link in the description. If you need custom AutoLISP programs to automate your CAD workflow, email your requirements to [email protected].
