The rock of Cashel in located on the outskirts of the town of Cashel in county Tipperary, Ireland. The rock is a hill on which there are five separate and ancient buildings.
The oldest building is the round tower that is 920 years old.
Cormac Chapel is 885 years old, it is one of the earliest examples of Irish Romanesque architecture.
The Cathedral is 750 years old, it is a large Gothic Cathedral and cruciform in plan without side aisles.
The Tower House is 580 years old, is was added to the west end of the cathedral as a residence for the archbishop.
The Hall of the Choral was built 570 years ago, it was built to house laymen that assisted in chanting during services in the cathedral.
