In Row Zero, slicers are portable, full-featured filters that can be moved anywhere in the workbook. Slicers filter the underlying source data, which dynamically filters everything that references the source data.
Unlike Excel slicers, Row Zero slicers are full-featured filters. You can filter on one or more conditions (e.g. greater than 0), search values, select all, unselect all, and filter on date groupings like month, week, day, etc.
Here’s how to create a slicer to control multiple pivot tables and charts:
1. Create pivot tables and charts from a data table or a cell range with filters applied.
2. Click on a cell within the source data for your pivot tables and charts and go to ‘Data’, ‘Create slicer’.
3. Select each column you’d like to create a slicer for and click ‘Apply’ to create your slicers.
4. Move your slicer anywhere in your workbook by dragging or cut/paste. You can also double click on your slicer to rename it.
5. Click the filter dropdown on the slicer to apply a filter. The filter is applied to everything that references the source data, including all pivot tables and charts.
