Video game addiction is classified as a mental illness by the WHO
The World Health Organization (WHO) has included this type of addiction in a long list of mental disorders. According to scientists, it is a behavioral disorder related to neurological development. Psychologist Luz Helena Llano believes that those who suffer from this condition “use video games to avoid taking responsibility or to disconnect from their feelings.”
