A Soviet column moves through the forest calmly—too calmly.
The first shot knocks the driver into a ditch. The second kills the radio operator. The Germans open fire wildly into the forest, but there's only silence in response.

A sniper nicknamed "Quiet" immediately realizes: this wasn't an attack. It was a trap.

An SS officer uses decoy columns, burning villages and destroying underground routes one after another. Someone feeds him precise information about Soviet liaisons and partisan bases. To stop him, their best marksman is sent into the forest.

Alone.

Quiet walks through the mountain forest, noticing barely visible tracks: trampled grass, a German cigarette butt, a broken branch. Everything leads to an old crossing over a stream. They are already waiting for him there.

On the ridge is a German countersniper.
In the bushes by the bank is an SS officer with his guards.

They know how Tikhy works. They know his methods. They know where he likes to take up position. And the most terrifying thing is, the officer knows his real name.

A deadly hunt begins, where a mistake lasts a split second, and every shot changes the entire situation. The forest turns into a field of invisible war: false positions, psychological traps, sniper duels, and a fight not only for life but also for those still hiding.

Tikhy will have to figure out which of his own has passed the information to the enemy, outsmart the German marksman, and stop the SS officer before he disappears into the mountains.

A story of composure, patience, and a deadly silent war, where the winner is not the one who shoots first, but the one who thinks longest.

This story is a fictional reconstruction based on the operating methods of SMERSH.
