Refinishing a neck-through guitar - Part 1
An in-depth report on my first attempt at properly refinishing an electric guitar, at home, without a workshop. The neck-through and neck bindings make this an unusually tricky project but we'll get there!
I have learned most of what I am attempting from Youtube videos, however I couldn't find anything on de-finishing a neckthrough, nor using a heatgun near a plastic binding. That's mainly why I decided to film my own attempt.
The plan:
1 - Remove all the hardware
2 - Remove the paint finish and sand smooth
3 - Stain + oil the wood in a loosely artistic fashion
4 - Re-assemble everything
