♠️Jacquard Carriage and Piqué Mode♠️
🤔️What are "piqué buttons"?⁉️
🙋Hello, friends. Over the three and a half years that I've been filming my video courses, I've accumulated a huge amount of videos on knitting, technology, and familiarization with various knitting equipment.
In this short video from the "Accessories" course, I explain the operating principles of the RJ-1 jacquard carriage. This is a Chinese carriage for the Silver Reed machine.
As far as I know, separate "jacquard" carriages were not produced for Brother machines, but some carriage models were equipped with pique buttons.
The "piqué" mode works exactly the same on both Silver and Brother machines—it allows you to knit every other needle. This mode is suitable for knitting two-, three-, or four-color double-bed jacquard. The fabric is much neater, denser, and moving the carriages is much easier.
As a reminder, I'm running a Black Friday sale until November 30, 2023, and all courses are 20% off.
