From a little pit stop at @pilotflyingj to the beautiful peaks of Linville Gorge, this overnight adventure was so much fun! #AD

Here’s the itinerary I put together for this quick trip (SAVE for later):

DAY ONE:
🚙 Drive from Asheville to Linville Gorge stopping at the Pilot Travel Center in Marion for gas, snacks, and water
🥾 Hike to Upper Creek Falls (1.5mi loop, moderate to strenuous, pet-friendly)
🍓 Make chocolate-covered strawberries as a post-hike treat (an essential part of the adventure)
🚙 Drive to the Table Rock Parking Area from Upper Creek Falls
🥾 Hike the Chimneys via the MST (1.7mi out & back, moderate, pet-friendly)
🏕 Set up camp
🌅 Enjoy the most beautiful sunset and stargaze

DAY TWO:
☕ Wake up for sunrise, make coffee, and chill for a while
🎒 Pack everything up
🥾 Hike back to the Table Rock Parking Area
🚙 Drive home

This could also be a day trip if dispersed camping isn’t your thing! In that case, I’d start my day by watching the sunrise at The Chimneys then make my way over to Upper Creek Falls to hang out and swim.
