Hi! In today's tutorial I'll show you how to implement sliding camera transitions using Game Maker Studio 2.3. I'll be using Animation Curves to make the camera follow a slow-fast-slow pattern and I'll also show you how to do this using the upcoming Curves Library feature from Game Maker Studio 2.3.2.

For today's animation principle, I'll cover slow in / slow out. If you're moving toward a goal, and don't want to overshoot it, then it looks most natural to start moving slow, speed up, and then slow down again before reaching your target. This camera movement is the same, and adding the curves will make your game feel more organic
