The headline shift: OpenSpace is no longer just a reality capture tool. At Waypoint 2025, the company announced its evolution into the Visual Intelligence Platform for the built world. Visual intelligence takes images from the field, makes sense of them with AI, and turns them into insights that drive action. The difference matters—reality capture lets teams see everything in one platform, while visual intelligence lets teams see, understand, and act in one platform.
Two flagship launches anchor the year. OpenSpace Air, the drone-agnostic capture workflow, now supports cut-and-fill analysis, virtual control points, elevation heatmaps, and CSV volume exports. OpenSpace Track combines 360 capture with computer vision and expert human verification to deliver objective, schedule-linked progress data. It tracks 700+ visual components and 200+ schedule tasks, and integrates with Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, Microsoft Project, and Excel—BIM informed but not BIM required.
The webinar also covers AI Image Enhance, QuickCodes (QR-driven capture starts), Insta360 X5 camera support, a redesigned sheets page, mobile field note improvements, a usage API for PowerBI, and a preview of what's coming in 2026, including AI Autolocation and AI Voice Notes inside OpenSpace Field.
