JJ Cale was a seminal influence, not just to me, but anyone who ever picked up a guitar in the last 50 years - whether or not they realized it. To me, the Zen of his playing is that he only played what was needed - nothing more, and managed to string together the most tasteful melodious licks. Nothin' fancy - easy to figure out - but so pleasing to the ear. This was a spontaneous expression upon learning of his passing. Hope you like it. Rest in Peace, brother...
