This animation was created using the Stop Motion Studio Pro app on my phone. It was shot at 15 frames per second with a total of 1448 pictures taken. It took approximately 15 hours to complete including editing. Black suit guy voice by Lofty. Blue suit guy voiced by under paid assistant.
This animation took far longer than it should have. This was one of the first times I had to animate a walk cycle on a flat surface, and it was not very fun! Always animate on Lego studs if you can help it. There are a lot of things that did not look too good in this animation. The thing that annoys me most is the reflection in the windows. I was aware of this potential issue before I started animating, but I kept forgetting to angle the set in a position that would avoid unwanted movements in the reflection of the windows. The figures appeared a bit dirty looking in my opinion. I think this had to do with the clay I used to hold the figures upright. I think the oil from the clay made my fingerprints more visible and made dust partials stick to the figures. Next time I am going to try and use sticky tack instead. Another mistake I made was that I created the animation before I recorded the voice lines. I put so much time into the gestures of the characters that it made it difficult to get authentic sounding voice lines to sync neatly into the animation.
