This only works on supported android phones with this function. To enable it, go to settings, lock, screen, smart lock, and you have three options from On Body Detection, Trusted Places, and Trusted Devices.
On Body Detection keeps the phone unlocked if you keep it with you, note that it would not detect owner or a different person.
Trusted Places is unlocking the phone base from location. It would keep the phone unlocked while you're still in the trusted location.
And Trusted Devices unlocks the phone as long as the phone is connected to the device, whether it is smart, watch and earbuds or other accessories as well!
