🐾 Colorado is one of the most dog friendly states in the country. So much so that you can put your dogs on your marriage license as a witness and Colorado will legally recognize it. Which means, every other state will recognize your dog as officially part of your family too!
Here’s how you do it:
1️⃣ Reach out to a Colorado county clerk’s office to schedule an appointment for a marriage license.
2️⃣ Pick your license up a few days before your wedding / elopement.
3️⃣ Bring a dog friendly ink pad.
4️⃣ Stick your pup’s paw on the ink pad, place it on the marriage license.
✨ Send it back to the county clerk’s office to make it official.
✨ Congrats! Your dog is now officially part of your wedding day / elopement!
