In this tutorial I give you the VBA code to easily create backups of an open Excel file. If your file is saved on Microsoft OneDrive, Excel automatically saves all changes you make to the file so that you can easily return to an earlier version if things go bad. This macro will not work for files saved on OneDrive because there is really no need for it. But if you're working on a locally saved file this will become very handy, creating backups for example before making major changes to your file or before test running a macro.
