THE OLD MAN AND BAHEL
The life of an old man living alone and suffering from colon cancer changes with the construction of a new bridge next to his village, Garipçe. With village lands gaining value, the old man’s son sells the property to a contractor. Swift and destructive change around him pushes the old man to the edge of suicide. Determined to end his life, he sails into the sea where he sees a man, Bahel from Syria, struggling for his life and pulls him out of the water. Could this encounter change both of their lives?
