The State Public Library also known as the Mikhail E. Saltykov-Shchedrin, the leading Russian satirist of the 19th century.
During the Siege, the library remained open and never stopped their lending service. During the War, it has been record that the library received over 42, 500 readers and issued some 1, 500,000 publications…..
