Issues with the Metabones Canon EF-M43 Speed Booster
Hey! I just put together a quick video to show you the issues I'm having with the Metabones Canon EF Mount. If you had or have the same issues, I hope this helps!
Results from the first Metabones Speed Booster Mount that I received to use on my Panasonic GH4:
1) Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 - Electronic communication didn't work
2) Canon EF 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye - Electronic communication didn't work
3) Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro - Everything worked
4) Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8L - Everything worked
*The mount fit nicely to the camera, not too loose but not too tight
*Metabones told me that version 1.6 should fix the issue with the electronic communication
Results from the second Metabones Speed Booster Mount that I received to use on my Panasonic GH4:
All of the lenses that I mentioned above WORKED on the replacement mount. I'm able to change the aperture electronically from within the GH4!
Conclusion:
If you get a Metabones Canon EF-M43 Speed Booster Mount that doesn't work with an EF lens that you know should work, return it until you get a mount that works.
