MEDIA PRODUCTION BASICS - Editing Techniques & Principles: MONTAGE SEQUENCE
A series of images, usually set to music, that quickly show various aspects of the story.
PURPOSES: Show passage of time, provide a glimpse of actions or events not covered in detail, capture viewer interest at beginning of video, sum up story at end, provide a change of pace, add energy.
