Dawless deep house jam with Keystep Pro and hardware synths
Finally, after some weeks of not uploading to YouTube, I recorded this brief jam. I got a Keystep Pro recently and I’ve been very excited about it as it will let me completely stay away from my computer, which I was using for sequencing my hardware synths. It will definitely help me sketch ideas and have a 100% dawless functioning setup! Actually, this is my first dawless jam with the Keystep Pro! Here I’m just using the basic features of the KSP. I discovered that by using larger time divisions and tweaking time shift control for individual steps you can make longer and more interesting sequences within the same pattern, without using pattern chains!
In this jam I’m using the Model:Samples for drums, Model D for bass, Microfreak for chords and Volca FM for the marimba sound (Zoom - MS-70CDR on the MF and the Volca for delay and reverb). The jam was recorded with a Tascam DR-05. 🎹🎛
