Tesla: Water-Sports with a Model S! Frozen Lake Experiences
-----------------------------------------------
I waited long enough, and finally, the lake was Frozen enough for 5,000 Lbs Model S to not need to test it's Water-Resistance.....
I had originally intended to take my Tesla Model S 90D out to see about getting it up to 155mph (The Model S's Top Speed).
Instead, I got to see how Awesome Tesla's Traction Control, and lack of fully disabling it on the Dual Motor car is.
Video isn't as fun as I intended, but still a learning experience on just how well these cars handle!

Final Thoughts:
1: Traction control on the model s is superior to anything else! Even when turned down (Slip start on) it still tried to keep the vehicle in control and keep it moving!
2: Car decided to limit the power output, basically keeping me from Spinning the wheels too much. This kept my top speed down. If the lake was Larger/longer, I could have nursed it up to higher speeds, but it would have taken at least 2x or 3x the distance.
3: Model S should plow through just about any slick or slushed road condition. Just don't expect to be winning the frozen lake races (We have a lot of those here in Wisconsin).
4: No more donuts, at least, not like the old RWD Classic Model S's. Even the new RWD Tesla's being produced have the more limited slip start. Great for getting Un-Stuck. Bad for fun out on the lake!
5: Use dedicated Snow tires to achieve the most fun on the Ice!
I used Goodyear Eagle RS A2 All Seasons for this test!

It will be interesting to see if Tesla Bjorn teslabjorn takes his Model X out on a frozen lake in Viking Country!
